Envi-comm Welcomes a New Chapter for ESG and Digital Resilience

Last week was a whirlwind for Envi-Comm as we, alongside our new partner, Black Bear Securities, had the opportunity to participate in CIB.O’s 2026 Transformation Summit.

The event was held at Summit Galleria Cebu, with more than 500 delegates and representatives from over 200 companies in attendance.

The summit focused on the transition from digital transformation to Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Cebu’s Information Technology and Business Process Management (IT-BPM) sector.

The Partnership

Envi-Comm’s partnership with Black Bear Securities was one of the key highlights of our participation at Booth E11.

There, we featured Black Bear Securities’ Managed Detection and Response (MDR) powered by PAGO as a service and discussed how it can help businesses and data-driven organizations stay secure through 24/7, AI-powered, human-supported threat detection.

The event was also graced by Hon. Mayor Nestor Archival, highlighting his sentiments on the importance of innovation and transformation as organizations navigate the age of AI.

You can learn more about his stance on AI by reading this article we published last week.

Cebu Mayor Nestor Archival’s AI plans spark compliance concerns over resource use, jobs, automation, and environmental impacts.

So, Why Is Envi-Comm Partnering with Black Bear Securities?

Envi-Comm supports Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) as part of its broader service approach. We believe that environmental protection is not limited to the physical environment.

Black Bear Securities provides cybersecurity and security solutions that help businesses protect their people, systems, and critical assets. Powered by PAGO, it helps organizations strengthen their cybersecurity and respond to threats. Learn more and secure your organization today.

Today, organizations also operate within a connected digital environment, or cyberspace. This environment can be affected by threats that may impact:

  • Business operations
  • Critical infrastructure
  • Data and information
  • Operational technologies
  • Public services
  • Organizational continuity

Because of this, every organization operating in cyberspace deserves a well-rounded threat detection and protection strategy.

Through our partnership with Black Bear Securities, Envi-Comm aims to explore how cybersecurity can complement our broader approach to ESG, resilience, and responsible business operations.

Public Hearing for the Gullas College of Medicine

On August 13, 2026, Envi-Comm facilitated a Public Hearing for the Gullas College of Medicine project.

Public hearings give communities a voice on significant projects that may affect them.
Public hearings give communities a voice on significant projects that may affect them.

The public hearing was facilitated by Envi-Comm and featured several resource speakers from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), as well as architects and engineers.

The event was originally scheduled to be held at the Brgy. Banilad Covered Court, Cebu City, but was moved to Gullas Medical School Room 304 at the last minute.

Despite a one-hour delay, the event concluded before 5:00 PM.

Why Do Public Hearings Matter?

A public hearing allows project proponents and stakeholders to discuss potential environmental and social concerns before permits such as the Environmental Compliance Certificate (ECC) are issued for major projects.

Public Hearings allow community members to voice their concerns, ask questions, and provide feedback that project proponents can consider as the project moves forward.

For Envi-Comm, these discussions are an important part of ensuring that development considers not only regulatory requirements but also the communities that may be affected by a project.
